Vispring’s Traditional Bedstead mattress features 1,254 luxury Vanadium steel pocket springs, (in the king size)* each 56mm in diameter, individually sewn into calico pockets, and hand formed into a honeycomb nested unit.

The mattress is hand-tufted with felt washers and generously upholstered with a wool spring protector pad and bonded British fleece wool and cotton. The filling is overlaid with additional layers of hand-teased lambswool and cotton - perfectly blended to optimise the superior cooling and hypoallergenic properties of these luxury materials.

The Traditional Bedstead is covered with an exquisite tailored satin ivory Belgian ticking. The mattress borders are upholstered with protective wool, 2 rows of hand side-stitching, and air vents to extend the bed’s lifetime and aid breathability.

The Vispring Traditional Bedstead mattress is available in a choice of tensions: soft, medium and firm. For King sizes and above we can offer a 1-piece mattress with left and right hand tensions.  For Super King sizes and above, we can also offer zipped mattresses, with two individual mattresses zipped together to create one piece.
